Special program for human
resources development "Environmental Risk Management" |
We request students to select a sub-program or more in addition to
their specialized program and exert the double-major feature.
Through the double-major system, we aim to develop human resources
that have a wide variety of knowledge across environment and energy.
The "Environmental Risk Management" program for developing
human resources can be also learned through the graduate school's
lecture. However, this special program is available only as a sub-course
for the moment. |

 |
We will introduce qualifications for these seven
programs so as to ensure the development of human resources such as
researchers, engineers, administrative staff and consultants that
can exert leaderships domestically and internationally.
First, the Division promotes a qualification for "Environmental
Risk Managers" for which students must master subjects designated
under the human resources program for environmental risk management.
In addition, it provides education that is aimed at qualification
of "Reactor Chief Engineer" in order to develop engineers
related to nuclear energy, one of basic energy constituents in our
country. |

 |
We aim to provide techniques and knowledge that are
practical and useful in the real world with an effective combination
of drills, off-campus internships, practical training, etc.
The Division actively promotes education to form entrepreneurs and
make efforts to develop human resources that can create new industries
in collaboration with the Division of Business Engineering.
In addition, we promote the admission of workers with doctorates to
assume education for businesspersons.
Furthermore, the "Human Resources Program for Environmental Risk
Management" forms a curriculum that assigns the highest priority
to that students develop skills for highly practical environmental
risk management through participation in lectures and drills given
by domestic and international experts with practical experiences.
Additionally, we establish an external evaluation institution whose
secretariat is assumed by the Society for Risk Analysis, Japan-Section,
and aim to certify those who completed this course as an "Environmental
Risk Manager." |

 |
In order to promote the development of environment
and energy engineering in Asia and other countries, we actively receive
students from overseas, establish the way of receiving them, help
them to conduct learning and research, aid them to advance to the
secondary stage of doctor course, follow up with the students who
took degrees and give active support to the students that returned
to their home countries or got employed.
With the aim of performing these activities, we are conceiving the
creation of local joint research centers in the region of Asia. |
